Aqualube Water Lubricated Bearings
*The Aqualube bearing line, well established by the Michigan Wheel Marine Europe and Michigan Wheel Marine MEAA (Middle East, Africa, Asia) divisions will now be available in the Americas. These world class nitrile rubber bearings feature a unique flute design that facilitates the formation of a hydrodynamic wedge in operation, even at slow speeds. Michigan Propellers
Michigan Wheel standard series propellers for pleasure and commercial boats have been the industry standard for 108 years, evolving with the markets to remain relevant. Tried and true 3 blade Dyna-Jet and 4 blade Dyna-Quad pleasure boat propellers are legend, and have been enhanced with the addition of designs for higher speed boats, cnc machine finished DJX and DQX. 5 blade propellers have gained in popularity, and Michigan Wheel Marine’s M-500 offering meets the demand. The Michigan “M” sourced series give the Michigan line a highly competitive offering for the global market.
Federal Propellers
The Federal propeller line concentrates on the application specific custom design and manufacturing efforts. Federal features propellers ranging 12” to 96” in diameters. Michigan Wheel Marine (MWM) is a propeller supplier to custom yacht manufacturers, production boat builders, and commercial shipyards around the world. For those that seek to optimize performance and efficiency, MWM is challenged with expanding propeller design and analysis capabilities. Optimized propeller fit does result in increased speeds, improved cruising range and exceptional passenger comfort levels.
Commercial Propellers
The commercial offering has been expanded to series such as DQ Special, offering durability, smooth and quiet operation for craft operating at speed. The traditional Machine Pitch, Workhorse, and Kaplan designs are still relevant to the market. Manufacturing flexibility enables Michigan Wheel Marine to offer variants most suited to particular applications. Expanded areas, 5 blades, particular rake requirements can be accommodated. The PacMaster Stainless steel series has become a standard on fishing boats in particular areas, and Michigan Wheel Marine can offer Stainless steel options throughout is line-up.
HyTorq Propellers
Michigan’s acquisition of Hall & Stavert of PEI, Canada, in 1996 brought on additional resource to supply the growing pleasure boat market of the late 1990’s and into 2009. The HyTorq line established a reputation of high quality, and has a strong following for replacement on applications where they were original equipment. With the market contraction, Michigan Wheel Marine consolidated operations in Grand Rapids. All current Hy-Torq propeller patterns and the majority of equipment was brought in to Grand Rapids. Michigan Wheel Marine continues and will continue for the foreseeable future to offer the Hy-Torq line, with every effort made to perpetuate the fine craftsmanship established by Hall & Stavert.
Hale MRI Inspection Equipment
Experienced propeller shops prefer the Hale MRI. With the Hale MRI reporting, the propeller shop can get absolute recognition of propeller condition. The Hale MRI features linear transducers that transmit extremely precise 3-D data to the computer, including measurements of: pitch; rake; track; spacing; geometry; and camber of ANY propeller.
