The 3-blade MP (Machined Pitch) style propeller is a multi-purpose propeller designed for mixing, blending, agitating and liquid movement of all kinds. The MP style propeller is a modified semi-elliptical design, which was developed from years of experience and research, and is considered the standard by which most propellers are judged. The MP style is available in a "full" blade tip for open liquid applications or a "clipped" tip design for improved efficiency in a duct. The MP style is offered standard in a 3-blade design but is also available in a 4-blade design for some sizes. This style of propeller is investment and sand cast depending on size.


Machine Pitch "MP"

Materials: 316L Stainless Steel, Bronze, Nibral, Cast Iron, and Aluminum. These are the most frequently ordered materials; other alloys are available on request.

Finish: Standard finish includes #40 grit, buffed, and Roto-dull; other finishes can be quoted.

Balance: All Michigan Wheel propellers are supplied statically balanced for vibration free performance.

Special Needs: Michigan Wheel has many years of history and experience in meeting the needs of industrial customers.
We offer a wide variety of styles with a broad range of diameters and pitches. If you have a unique requirement, it is likely that we have a pattern to meet your needs. If we do not have a pattern or die to meet your needs, we can utilize our CAD/CAM and CNC pattern and propeller making capabilities to fulfill your needs.

Options:
1. Standard setscrew(s) or keyway provided with propellers.
2. Special bores such as splined and threaded are available upon request.
3. Machine Pitch "MP" propellers with enlarged hubs available.
4. Clipping of propeller blades available upon request.

Clipped Machine Pitch “CW”
The clipped propeller is made by clipping (a modified cutting procedure) a larger diameter unclipped “MP” propeller such that it will fit inside a tube or duct. Typically, an unclipped propeller with a diameter of up to two or more inches larger than the tube/duct i.d. is used to make the clipped propeller.
