Federal Manufacturing Process

The FEDERAL propeller line concentrates on the application specific custom design and manufacturing efforts. Our FEDERAL design team exists to participate with designers and builders in the process of optimizing propulsion.

The manufacturing process of FEDERAL propellers involves either hand-finishing (HX) with concurrent layout and inspection, or CNC machine finishing (CX) where both the pitch (pressure) and suction surfaces of the blade are milled to exacting tolerances. Either process may produce propellers meeting certain tolerance requirements.

All patterns aer machine cut on computer driven CNC cutting mills. This assures that the design criteria will carry through to the propeller castings.

Exclusive, certified alloys are used in all Federal Propellers, providing the industry standard in purity and strength.

State-of-the art machining centers provide utmost accuracy in bore specifications.

Master technicians final finish each FEDERAL PROPELLER to exact design specifications.

Custom shipping crates provide secure shipments around the world.

The use of "no bake" sand in molding Federal Propeller pattern results in extremely accurate castings.

Computer driven CNC machines mill certain FEDERAL custom propellers exactly and consistenlty.

Experienced core teams ready FEDERAL PROPELLERS for exact tolerance and balance.

Each FEDERAL PROPELLER is fully documented at final inspection, providing perpetual record.
