The FEDERAL HX series offers high tolerance hand finished propeller manufacture in a variety of design configurations. This series is primarily constant pitch, with expanded area ratios. High horsepower pleasure and commercial applications require specific propellers to achieve maximum thrust, speed, and smoothness. The HX series is often the solution, as the next step from traditional series toward custom fit.

HX propellers are available in 3, 4, and 5 blade configurations.

The FEDERAL CX series are high tolerance NC milled, with the entire propeller being machine finished. The precision of the NC mills enables FEDERAL to incorporate advanced design features in its propellers. Sophisticated application specific blade designs, often incorporating variable pitch with particular rake and skew distributions, are possible in the machined CX series.

The FEDERAL design team writes the programs to machine finish both the pitch (pressure) and suction surfaces of that blade, and hub. The resultant thickness distribution is optimied, eliminating excess material that can produce drag. Each blade on a CX propeller is virtually identical.

The custom design process also has the ability to model elements that can deter from optimal performance, such as cavitation.

CX Propellers are possible in 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 blade configurations.
