An adjustable pitch propeller permits more flexibility of
operation than the standard props supplied with the outboard. However,
it is only efficient at one setting since the blade is a true helical
surface only at one particular pitch angle. Two or three well designed
rigid props of pitches needed for different loads will give better
performance than an adjustable propeller. |
