Q:

My
outfit doesn't have the speed I expect, though I've tried several
types of prop. Why? |
|
A: |
Some boats do not have the power to "get over the hump"
or attain planing speed. Other boats that achieve planing speeds may
not have the power required to reach speeds desired. In such cases,
repowering is the only answer. Power requirements are proportional
to the speed cubed. |
