Heat should never be used to install a propeller, and, therefore,
should seldom be required for removal. If a wheel puller and hammering
with soft hammer on propellr and/or shaft end does not work, gentle
warming with a blow torch may help. Do not use a welding torch as
the quick, harsh heat will change the grain structure of the bronze,
setting up internal stresses resulting in hub splitting. |
